Why Trust Me?

Okay, I get it, I’ve made a few slightly headline-worthy decisions. I was forced to resign after harassing a handful (or eleven) women, but who among us hasn’t let charm spill into misconduct?

 

Yes, I preferred using private emails and disappearing messages, because transparency is overrated when you already know you’re right.

 

During COVID, did we undercount nursing home deaths? Maybe. But who wants to ruin a good book launch with bad news? And the Moreland Commission? I shut it down strategically when it got too nosy.

 

If anything, all of this proves I know how the system works. So as your next mayor, I promise to lead New York the same way I always have: with a firm hand, a loose moral compass, and absolutely no paper trail.
